Restaurant Renovation Contractors in NYC

Restaurant renovations built around back-of-house realities and front-of-house presentation.

Alpha Contracting Services handles restaurant, cafe, bar, and food-service renovations in NYC. The work has to coordinate kitchen exhaust, plumbing, electrical service, ADA-compliant restrooms, and the front-of-house finish quality customers actually see.

Our Approach

Restaurant work depends on construction following the equipment, not the other way around.

Restaurant projects sit at the intersection of construction, equipment, and operations. Hood and exhaust planning, grease trap routing, HVAC, electrical service, plumbing, and finish work all have to be sequenced around the equipment package and the inspection path.

We coordinate the back-of-house complexity with the front-of-house presentation, and align construction milestones with the operator's opening calendar.

Our Process

A five-step restaurant renovation process built for NYC operators.

Restaurant projects need careful coordination between the construction plan, the equipment package, and the inspection path so the operator can open on the agreed date.

Step 1

Feasibility and Concept Review

We review the space, the operator concept, and the base-building conditions so the scope is grounded in what the building can support for ventilation, plumbing, electrical service, and grease handling.

Step 2

Equipment, Design, and Filing Coordination

The equipment package, design package, hood and exhaust plan, and filed-plan path are coordinated with the operator, designer, and expediter so construction is informed by the equipment, not the other way around.

Step 3

Protection, Demolition, and MEP Rough-In

Adjacent spaces are protected, demolition is handled cleanly, and mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and hood-exhaust rough-in is installed against the approved plan.

Step 4

Build-Out and Finish Installation

Kitchen finishes, dining-area millwork, flooring, tile, lighting, paint, equipment placement, and front-of-house finish work are completed in sequence so the space comes together for opening.

Step 5

Inspections, Punch, and Operator Handover

Inspections, final punch items, equipment startup coordination, and operator handover are managed so the restaurant is ready for staff training and opening.

What People Are Saying

Restaurant operators usually remember whether the build-out hit the opening date as much as how the finished space looks.

Dave and Manny went above and beyond to help us renovate our bathroom. They even visited showrooms and sourced tile samples when our schedule got tight. The room came out great and we have already started planning another project with them.
